Why You Should Be Selfish
It’s ok to be selfish. Controversial I know, but I actually encourage it!
My family means everything to me; they are my life and my reason “why”.
They are the reason I prioritize myself, specifically my health, over everything else.
If I choose to live an unhealthy lifestyle, I choose to be prone to sickness.
If I choose to eat nutritionally deficient foods, I choose to risk disease.
If I choose to not lift heavy weights, I choose to be weak.
If I choose to move poorly, I choose to risk injury.
If I choose to not listen to my mentors and coaches, I choose ignorance.
If I choose to have a negative mindset, I choose to not progress.
If I choose to be lazy and make excuses, I choose to miss opportunities.
If I choose to sacrifice sleep, I choose to be unrecovered for the day.
This is why I strive to choose none of the above.
I choose to be fit and healthy for life so that I can be the best husband and father for my family for years to come. I want to be my best self for them.
Our lives come down to our choices. We live in a world that is constantly tempting us to choose the unhealthy decisions. Reaching the best outcome - you being healthy and happy - starts with you choosing to take the hard road.
Make yourself the top priority and choose your health every single day. Your family will thank you.
