One Small Step
Small steps towards a better relationship with food are better than no steps at all.
The best nutrition program in the world is the one you can follow, even when you’re tempted and teased by peer pressure.
I want you to have the knowledge, empowerment, and foundation that can help you stay committed even when life throws you a curveball. When you go through a break-up, when you have a baby, when you are grieving the loss of a loved one, or when you are traveling to a new place — our goal is to prepare you for anything!
This starts with consistency. That stick-to-it-ness. That will-power.
The pandemic forced the majority of us inside our homes and our nutrition suffered. Being at home most of the day means food is available all the time. The coffee is always there. The chips are always there. The ice cream is always there. And we all know, if it’s in the house, we’re going to eat it!
You don’t need a strict new keto diet (not that there’s anything wrong with keto). You don’t need a detox (they’re fake and don’t work). The people who fail to achieve their body composition goals often try to take on too many changes at once. You just need to take one small step.
So how do we get our nutrition back in line? It can be as simple as just writing it down.
Just start recording your food. You can use an app, like MyFitnessPal, but simply putting pen to paper allows you to visually see the foods you have been eating. You’ll immediately start thinking more about what you’re consuming. I’m not saying that you have to track your calories or your macros; just start keeping track of what you eat. That’s all.
